Thank you for this video. I really needed some kind of baseline (any other person's experience with a ratio of work/activity/social obligations to rest) to test out because I had no idea where to start and it's been impossible to figure out even after a year of trying. You're the only person I've been able to find who has said anything about the ratio that works for them. Now I can test it for myself and adjust as needed. Thank you very much <3

Thank you very much for your statement. My son and I both have autism spectrum disorder - formerly Asperger's Syndrome. Franio was interested in cars, dinosaurs. And now different countries. I, in turn, am interested in tea, yerba mate, herbs, history - I am an archival historian, as well as the countries of Far Asia and the Middle East. Finally, I wanted to tell you that in Poland, back in the 1990s, it was very bad when it comes to society's perception of various mental differences or diseases and disorders. To say that you go to a psychologist and God forbid to a psychiatrist was a powerful disservice. Poles as a people are changing. It's much better now. There are institutional and other problems. On the other hand, we have very good adaptive qualities as a nation. However, it kills, in my opinion, too much individuality. We want too much to be Americans, Englishmen being in those countries suddenly forgetting their own tradition or language. And we are different from others. Just like the rest of us. And I think that's beautiful.

When you are generalising Autism and talking lies from your perspective - do you know that 50% is non verbal and will never tell if they have pain without a tablet? Biomedical interventions is not curing autism but it is helping brain to function and lot of people can learn and sleep with these interventions. So please don’t speak for others and tel lies.

I know the last reactions are 3yo, but I am still going to try and ask about stimming (here 'cause I can't leave a reaction on the older videos about stimming).. What if you and your partner (or a family member you live with) are both on the spectrum and one of you stims in a way that is distressing for the other one?

I wanted to comment on how good your 'Ask an Autistic #15...' video is but comments were disabled there. A lot of things described there put words into things I find myself needing too even though I was initially looking into your videos for help about my autistic son. (Things such as needing 'unstructured downtime'.) I see a lot of similarities between my son and I. He has been officially diagnosed with autism, but I haven't been and have never been tested for it. Thank you!

Humans are animals. Scientific facts. Animals feel pain, joy, love. Be kind to all animals. Disability is not a death sentence. Disability means being different, differently abled, that's it. Disabled humans are not monsters or machines. We are all equals.

Hi I am new to this channel and I am also new to the ASD community. Please forgive me if that is not the name that is preferred. The last few years I have been having problems with mental health. I have only recently started coming to the realization that I may be on the spectrum. This video specifically hits home with me because I did go on a trip to see family and it was draining for me. I keep trying to talk to my parents about what my needs are and why I get angry sometimes but it is a slow process to get them to see what I have come to realize. I desperately to find a community. I would like to get an official test but I do not know where I can go to get the proper support that I need. Any advice is appreciated and welcome. Thank you for what you do it has helped me so much.

Your videos are awesome! I am a self diagnosed level one autistic person at the age of 20. I also have a congenital visual impairment that scientist and research studies have linked to higher chance of also being born with autism. I was wondering if autism can affect the gross and fine motor skills and balance such as walking or going up and downstairs because I have issues with these things too and a lot of my visually impaired friends really don’t seem to have these issues. Along with everything else that makes me feel I have level one autism that none of my visually impaired friends go through.

I tried explaining this to my dads side of the family but they wouldn’t listen to me. I’m 18, I have Aspergers and I really love Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure plush toys because they’re soft, cuddly and very cute, but mostly because I don’t trust myself with overpriced figures that I’ll probably break on accident. My dads wife (not my biological mom, my biological parents are divorced) just sat there and said to me “you’re almost 19 don’t you think you’re too old for this?” and “there are many things that make me happy but that doesn’t make them age appropriate.” That really hurt me so I don’t really ask people for gifts now. Those statements really messed with me so I think I’ll do my own gift buying from now on.
